PROCEDURE

1.	CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

(a) Check if a CAN communication system DTC is output (See page ).

Result	Proceed to
DTC is not output	A
DTC is output	B

INSPECT CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

2.	PERFORM ENGINE VARIANT LEARNING

(a) Perform engine variant learning (See page ).

HINT:

Engine variant learning is automatically performed immediately after the Test Mode is entered.
If learning has not yet been performed, the ABS warning and slip indicator lights will remain on and DTC C1288/88 will be stored.

3.	RECONFIRM DTC

(a) Turn the ignition switch off.

(b) Clear the DTCs (See page ).

(d) Check if the same DTC is recorded (See page ).

Result	Proceed to
DTC (C1288/88) is not output	A
DTC (C1288/88) is output (for 2GR-FE)	B
DTC (C1288/88) is output (for 1AR-FE)	C

END
