Toyota Venza: Cellular Phone Inspection

PROCEDURE

1.

CHECK USAGE CONDITION

(a) Check that the vehicle and cellular phone meet the following conditions:

NOTICE:

If changing cellular phone settings, updating software, etc. is necessary, make sure to obtain the permission of the customer before performing it.

  • The cellular phone is "Bluetooth" compatible (See page ).

  • The cellular phone is registered as a hands-free device.
  • "Bluetooth" setting of the cellular phone is on.
  • Operating system and software of the cellular phone are the latest versions.
  • There are no other radio wave emitting devices ("Wi-Fi" communication device, etc.) in the cabin.

(b) Connect the cellular phone to the in-vehicle device and check that it is connected correctly.

Result

Proceed to

The cellular phone is connected correctly.

The cellular phone is not connected correctly.

2.

RESTART CELLULAR PHONE

(a) Restart the cellular phone.

(b) Turn the ignition switch off.

(c) Turn the ignition switch to ACC.

(d) Connect the cellular phone to the in-vehicle device and check that it is connected correctly.

Result

The cellular phone is connected correctly.

The cellular phone is not connected correctly.

3.

CHECK OPERATION

(a) Check if the in-vehicle device can be recognized by the cellular phone.

Result

Proceed to

In-vehicle device can be recognized.

In-vehicle device cannot be recognized.

4.

REGISTER AGAIN

(a) Clear all "Bluetooth" devices registered to the cellular phone and navigation receiver assembly.

(b) Register the cellular phone again.

(c) Connect the cellular phone to the in-vehicle device and check that it is connected correctly.

Result

The cellular phone is connected correctly.

5.

CHECK USING ANOTHER VEHICLE

(a) Check if the customer's cellular phone functions normally using another "Bluetooth" compatible vehicle.

HINT:

  • Make sure to obtain the customer's permission to perform this procedure.
  • After the inspection, clear the registered information and usage history acquired during the inspection.

Result

Proceed to

The cellular phone is connected correctly.

6.

CHECK USING ANOTHER CELLULAR PHONE

(a) Check if the system functions normally using another "Bluetooth" compatible cellular phone.

HINT:

  • Make sure to obtain the customer's permission to perform this procedure.
  • After the inspection, clear the registered information and usage history acquired during the inspection.

Result

Proceed to

The cellular phone is connected correctly.
