NOTICE:

When disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal, initialize the following systems after the cable is reconnected.

1. PRECAUTIONS WHEN USING TECHSTREAM

(a) When using the Techstream to troubleshoot with the ignition switch off:

Connect the Techstream to the DLC3, and turn the courtesy light switch on and off at 1.5-second intervals until communication between the Techstream and vehicle begins.

(b) After all DTCs are cleared, check if the trouble occurs again 6 seconds after the ignition switch is turned to ON.

2. PRECAUTIONS WHEN WORKING ON STEERING LOCK SYSTEM

(a) After replacing the steering lock ECU (steering lock actuator assembly), perform the key ID code registration.

(b) After replacing the steering lock ECU (steering lock actuator assembly), confirm the lock/unlock operation of the steering lock.
