Toyota Venza: Internal Control Module EEPROM Error (P062F)

DESCRIPTION

The TCM monitors its internal operation and it will set this DTC when it detects an internal malfunction.

MONITOR DESCRIPTION

The TCM monitors its internal operation. If the internal operation is malfunctioning, the TCM illuminates the MIL and sets a DTC.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

NOTICE:

  • There is a possibility that the DTC P062F is issued from the ECUs of the EFI and ECT. Use Techstream to conduct a health check to confirm which ECU the DTC is issued from and then inspect the related system.
  • Perform the universal trip to clear permanent DTCs (See page ).

PROCEDURE

1.

READ OUTPUT DTC (DTC P062F)

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Clear DTCs (See page ).


(e) Turn the ignition switch off and turn the Techstream off.

(f) Disconnect the Techstream.

(g) Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal and wait for 1 minute.

(h) Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.

(i) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(j) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(k) Turn the Techstream on.

(l) Select the following menu items: Powertrain / ECT / Trouble Codes.

(m) Read DTCs.
