MONITOR DESCRIPTION
The ECM monitors its internal operation. If the internal operation is malfunctioning, the ECM illuminates the MIL and stores a DTC.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT
NOTICE:
There is a possibility that the DTC P062F is issued from the ECUs of the ECM and TCM. Use Techstream to conduct a health check to confirm which ECU the DTC is issued from and then inspect the related system.
HINT:
Read freeze frame data using the Techstream. The ECM records vehicle and driving condition information as freeze frame data the moment a DTC is stored. When troubleshooting, freeze frame data can help determine if the vehicle was moving or stationary, if the engine was warmed up or not, if the air fuel ratio was lean or rich, and other data from the time the malfunction occurred.
PROCEDURE
1. |
READ OUTPUT DTC (DTC P062F) |
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(c) Turn the Techstream on.
(d) Clear the DTC (See page ).
(e) Turn the ignition switch off and turn the Techstream off.
(f) Disconnect the Techstream.
(g) Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal and wait for 1 minute.
(h) Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
(i) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(j) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(k) Turn the Techstream on.
(l) Wait 30 seconds or more.
(m) Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Trouble Codes.

1. CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS
HINT:
A momentary interruption (open circuit) in the connectors and/or wire harness
between the sensors and ECUs can be detected using the ECU Data List function of
the Techstream.

Automatic anti-glare function
Responding to the level of brightness of the headlights of vehicles behind, the
reflected light is automatically reduced.
Changing automatic anti-glare function mode ON/OFF

If your vehicle overheats
The following may indicate that your vehicle is overheating.
• The engine coolant temperature gauge reaches the maximum, or a loss of
engine power is experienced. (For example, the vehicle speed does not increase.)
• Steam comes out from under the hood ...
