Toyota Venza: Reassembly

REASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT WIRE RH (for Front Passenger Side)

(a) Engage each clamp and install the front seat wire RH.

2. INSTALL OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU (for Front Passenger Side)

3. INSTALL SEAT POSITION SENSOR

4. INSTALL SEAT HEATER CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Heater System)

(a) Engage the clamp to install the seat heater control sub-assembly.

5. INSTALL FRONT SEAT WIRE

(a) Engage the 5 clamps.

(b) Engage the 2 claws.

(c) Connect the 3 connectors.

(d) w/ Seat Heater System:

(1) Connect the 3 connectors.

(2) Engage the 3 clamps.

(e) Connect the connector.

(f) Engage the 2 clamps and install the front seat wire.

6. INSTALL FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD LH

(a) Engage the guide.

(b) Engage the hook as shown in the illustration.

(c) Install the front seat lower cushion shield LH with the screw.

7. INSTALL FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD RH

(a) Engage the guide.

(b) Engage the hook as shown in the illustration.

(c) Install the front seat lower cushion shield RH with the screw.

8. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH

(a) Engage the guide.

(b) Install the reclining adjuster inside cover LH with the screw.

9. INSTALL SEAT RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH

(a) Engage the guide.

(b) Engage the clamp.

(c) Install the seat reclining adjuster inside cover LH with the 2 screws.

10. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH

(a) Engage the guide.

(b) Install the reclining adjuster inside cover RH with the screw.

11. INSTALL SEAT RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH

(a) Engage the guide.

(b) Engage the clamp.

(c) Install the seat reclining adjuster inside cover RH with the 2 screws.

12. INSTALL LOWER ACTIVE HEADREST UNIT

(a) Install the lower active headrest unit with the 2 nuts. Torque: 5.0 N·m {51 kgf·cm, 44 in·lbf}

13. INSTALL UPPER ACTIVE HEADREST UNIT

(a) Install the upper active headrest unit with the 4 nuts. Torque: 14 N·m {143 kgf·cm, 10 ft·lbf}

(b) Connect the cable to the upper active headrest unit with the nut.

Torque:

5.0 N·m {51 kgf·cm, 44 in·lbf}

14. INSTALL LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the bush.

(b) Engage the guide.

(c) Install the lumbar support adjuster assembly with the 2 screws.

(d) Connect the connector.

(e) Engage the 10 guides and install the front seatback spring sub-assembly. Text in Illustration *a Guide *b Clamp

(f) Install a new clamp.

15. INSTALL FRONT SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

16. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK HEATER ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Heater System)

(a) Using a tacker, install the front seatback heater assembly to the end of the separate type front seatback cover with 12 new tack pins. NOTICE: Be careful not to damage the separate type front seatback cover.

17. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER

(a) Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seatback cover to the separate type front seatback pad with 10 new hog rings. NOTICE: Be careful not to damage the separate type front seatback cover. Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seatback cover.

18. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD

(a) Temporarily install the separate type front seatback cover with pad to the front seat frame assembly with adjuster.

(b) Engage the 4 claws and install the 2 front seat headrest supports.

(c) Using hog ring pliers, install 2 new hog rings. NOTICE: Be careful not to damage the separate type front seatback cover. Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seatback cover.

(d) Using hog ring pliers, install 2 new hog rings. NOTICE: Be careful not to damage the separate type front seatback cover. Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seatback cover.

(e) Engage the 4 hooks.

(f) Engage the guide to install the bracket of the separate type front seatback cover with the nut. Text in Illustration *a Bracket Torque: 8.0 N·m {82 kgf·cm, 71 in·lbf} NOTICE: For vehicles with front seat side airbag assembly, the front seat side airbag assembly may not be activated normally unless the separate type front seatback cover is securely installed. Check that the strap is not twisted after installing the bracket. Install the bracket securely.

19. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Engage the 2 guides as shown in the illustration.

(b) Engage the 14 claws.

(c) Install the front seatback board sub-assembly with the 2 screws.

20. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Heater System)

(a) Using a tacker, install the front seat cushion heater assembly to the end of the separate type front seat cushion cover with 25 new tack pins. NOTICE: Be careful not to damage the separate type front seat cushion cover. Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seat cushion cover.

21. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION PROTECTOR (for LH Side)

(a) Install the front seat cushion protector to the separate type front seat cushion cover with 2 new clips as shown in the illustration. Text in Illustration *a Upper *b Front NOTICE: The clips must not be reused. Pay attention to the installation direction.

22. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER

(a) Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seat cushion cover to the separate type front seat cushion pad with 18 new hog rings. NOTICE: Be careful not to damage the separate type front seat cushion cover. Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seat cushion cover.

23. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD

(a) Temporarily install the separate type front seat cushion cover with pad to the front seat frame assembly with adjuster.

(b) Engage each hook as shown in the illustration.

(c) Install the 2 clips.

(d) w/o Seat Heater System:

(1) Engage each clamp.

(e) w/ Seat Heater System:

(1) Connect the connector.

(2) Engage each clamp.

(f) Engage the 4 hooks and install the separate type front seat cushion cover with pad.

24. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION PROTECTOR

(a) Install the 2 front seat cushion protectors.

25. INSTALL FRONT INNER SEAT CUSHION SHIELD

(a) Engage the guide as shown in the illustration.

(b) Engage the claw.

(c) Install the front inner seat cushion shield with the screw.

26. INSTALL FRONT SEAT BELT ANCHOR PLATE

27. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY

28. INSTALL POWER SEAT SWITCH (w/o Memory)

(a) Connect the connector.

(b) Install the power seat switch with the 3 screws.

29. INSTALL POSITION CONTROL ECU AND SWITCH ASSEMBLY (w/ Memory)

(a) Connect the 2 connectors.

(b) Engage the guide.

(c) Install the position control ECU and switch assembly with the 3 screws.

30. INSTALL FRONT POWER SEAT LUMBAR SWITCH

(a) Install the front power seat lumbar switch with the 2 screws.

31. INSTALL FRONT INNER NO. 1 SEAT CUSHION SHIELD

(a) Engage the 2 claws to install the front inner No. 1 seat cushion shield to the front seat cushion shield.

(b) Install the screw.

32. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD ASSEMBLY

(a) Connect the connector to the front power seat lumbar switch.

(b) Engage the guide and claw.

(c) Install the front seat cushion shield assembly with the 5 screws.

(d) Engage the 2 hooks.

33. INSTALL SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

(a) Engage the 4 claws to install the slide and vertical power seat switch knob.

34. INSTALL RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

(a) Engage the 4 claws to install the reclining power seat switch knob.

35. INSTALL SEAT ADJUSTER COVER CAP

(a) Install the seat adjuster cover cap. HINT: Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
