INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY

(a) Check whether the drive shaft dimensions are within the following specifications.

Dimension (A) for 1AR-FE

for 2WD	LH	533.46 to 537.46 mm (1.751 to 1.763 ft.)
for 2WD	RH	539.96 to 543.96 mm (1.772 to 1.784 ft.)
for AWD	LH	533.46 to 537.46 mm (1.751 to 1.763 ft.)
for AWD	RH	570.96 to 574.96 mm (1.874 to 1.886 ft.)

Dimension (A) for 2GR-FE

for 2WD	LH	535.54 to 539.54 mm (1.758 to 1.770 ft.)
for 2WD	RH	542.64 to 546.64 mm (1.781 to 1.793 ft.)

(b) Check that there is no excessive play in the outboard joint.

(d) Check that there is no excessive play in the radial direction of the inboard joint.

(e) Check the boots for damage.
